Kevätauringossa -o- On the springlike sun

Tämänkin korun aloitin lomalla :).
Tämä on vähän sellainen "sekamelska-koru". Laitoin tähän paljon kaikkea. Uutta ja vanhaa. Kiveä ja muovia. Lasia ja kuparia. Perhosia, lehden ja sydämen :).
Halusin tehdä pitkän, keväisen, värikkään kaulakorun ja tällänen siitä tuli :).

I started also this necklace on my holiday :).
This is somehow kind of "mishmash necklace". I put a lot to this. Some new and some old. Some gems and some plastic. Some glass and some copper. Butterflies, a leaf and a heart :).
I wanted to make a long, springlike, colorful necklace and here it is :).

En ollut ihan tyytyväinen valmiisiin kuparisiin osiin...
Jatkossa teen itse mahdollisimman paljon :).

I made a couple of "catcher for dreams" copper earrings for the
next week's fair.
The beads are jade gems.
I wasn't quite satisfied for the copper parts I bought for earrings...
For now on I am going to make those parts by myself as much
as possible :).

Pääsiäinen lähestyy ja ajattelin tehdä linnunpesä-riipuksia. En ole aikasemmin niitä tehnyt. 

Kaikenlaisia juttuja haluan kokeilla tehdä ja sitten muunnella niitä :). Nämä ovat ihan niitä "peruspesiä" :D.

The easter is coming and I thought to make the birdnest pendants. I haven't made them before. 

I want to try to do many kinds of things and then modify them :). These are "basic nests" :D.

What is the best combination of colors in those pendants?

Pitkä rannekoru -o- Long bracelet

Tein kuparista, hematiiteista ja jadehelmistä pitkä rannekorun.
Sitä voi kyllä käyttää kaulakorunakin. Se on 77 cm pitkä.
Tykkään, kun sen saa kierrettyä 4 kertaa ranteen ympärille :).

Veljeni toi vuosia sitten hematiitti-kaulakorun Fidjiltä, mutta
se meni rikki jossain vaiheessa. Nyt kierrätin hematiittihelmiä ja laitoin niitä
tähän koruun :).

I made a long bracelet from copper, hematite and jadegems.
You can use it as a necklace too. It's 77 cm long.
I like when it can be wrapped around the wrist 4 times :).

My brother brought me a hematite necklace from Fiji a long time ago.
But it broke down for some reason. Now I recycled hematitegems and used
them for this jewel :).

Takaisin töihin -o- Back to the work

Olin pitkällä sairauslomalla. Yli 4 kuukautta... Nyt olen ollut sitten takaisin töissä vähän yli viikon. Kummallista se on ollut...
Olen kokeilemassa, pystynkö tätä työtä tekemään. Joten elän aika jännittäviä aikoja...
Postityö on hyvin fyysistä, pitää käyttää käsiä ja jalkoja. Toivon kuitenkin että käytettäisi enemmän myös päätä. Joskus tuntuu, että päätä ei paljoakaan käytetä... Minusta postityötä pystyy kyllä tekemään vähemmälläkin fyysisellä voimalla ja siihen juuri päätä tarvitaan. Yritän tehdä parhaani ja muuttaa luutuneita asenteita - vähitellen :).
Sairausloman aikana pystyin tekemään koruja ja tietysti edelleen. Olen siitä kiitollinen :). Rakastan niiden tekemistä! Juuri tällä hetkellä haen jotain uusia ideoita ja odotan tietysti uusia tilauksia ;). Pääsiäinen kun on tulossa, pitäisi ehkä kokeilla "linnun pesä"-riipuksia ja -korvakoruja. Tai jotain muuta keväistä.
Jotain uutta pitäisi keksiä myös tulevan viikon keikalle :). Ostimme äidille mm. liput syntymäpäivälahjaksi Mikko Kuustosen keikalle. Menemme sinne kahdestaan.
Pyrin tekemään aina uuden korun joka keikalle, jolle menen :). Tuntuu oudolta jos ei ole uutta  korua :D. Alla olevan korun tein viime viikkoiselle ystäväni lasten bändin, Olli-PA & Funksonin keikalle :).

I was on the long sick leave. More than 4 months... Now I have been back at work over a week. It has been odd...
I am trying if I am able to do that work. So I am living exciting times...
Working in postal service work is physical work, you have to use your feet and hands. I just wish the people would use more theirs heads also in their work and I think it's possible. Even in postal service work :). I am trying to do my best for changing people's attitudes :).
I was able to make my jewelries during my sick leave and of course I am continuing to make them. I am grateful for that :). I love to make them! Now I searching for new ideas and waiting for new orders ;).
The easter is coming and I thought to try making "bird nest" -pendants and -earrigs :). Or something else spring-like.
Something I should also design for the gig on coming week :). We bought for mom's birthdaypresent, among other things, the tickets for the Mikko Kuustonen's gig. We are going there together.
I always aspire to design and make new piece of jewelry for every gig I go :). It feels odd, if I am not wearing the new thing :D. I made the pendant above for the gig of my friends kid's band, Olli-PA & Funksons, last week :).

Kuparia ja lasihelmiä -o Copper and glassbeads

Kieputtelin tuollaisen lasitähden kupariraameihin. Ostin tuota kuparia ja noita tsekkiläisiä lasihelmiä paljon taannoiselta Tallinnan matkalta, joten lisää näiden yhdistelmiä on tulossa. Rakastan niiden väriyhdistelmää :)!!!

I wrapped that kind of glass star to the copper frames. I bought lots of copper and Czech glassbeads on my recent Tallinn trip, so there are gonna be more of these combinations.
I love their color combination :)!!!

En ole päivittäny tänne pitkään aikaan mitään, koska en halunnut näyttää äidille mitä olen tehnyt viime viikkoina. Äitihän käy tätä blogiani katsomassa usein :).
Ja tekemäni korut liittyivät jollain lailla hänen koruunsa. Hänen 70-vuotissyntymäpäivälahjaansa :).

Mutta nyt on juhlat pidetty ja on aika julkistaa työt.

I have not posted anything what I have made for a long time because I did't want my mom to see what I have made. My mom is always visiting my blog :). And the jewelry I made were kind of connected to her 70-years-old-birthdaypresent :).

But now the celebration is over and it's time to unveil the works.

Äidin kaulakoru on tehty ametistihelmistä ja hopeasta. Korussa käytin "viking weave"-menetelmää . Ja litteässä ametistihelmessä sattui sopivasti olemaan kiva kuvio ihan omasta takaa :).

Mom's necklace is made of amethysts and silver. I used a viking weave method to do this jewel. And there was a nice figure on that flat stone :).

Tässä kaulakorussa olen käyttänyt jaspisbreksiaa ja hopeoitua metallilankaa. -o- I have used a precciated jasper and silver plated metal wire on this necklace.
